What happens in Vegas...

A few weekends ago, we joined our friends, Christian and Monique, on their trip to Las Vegas.  We had such a great time!  We stayed at the MGM Grande and with temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's, we definitely made good use of their pool and lazy river.  We also went to Cirque du Soleil's "O" at the Bellagio.  I would recommend this show to ANYONE wanting to see a Cirque performance!  It was incredible!!!  Another highlight of the trip were the amazing meals and restaurants we ate at.  Nob Hill Tavern at the MGM was great.  They had a Spring Tasting menu which included 4 courses all paired with wine.  But since Christian buddied up to the sommelier, we got to try a few "extras" that ended up being the highlight of the night.  Our favorite restaurant, though, was Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at Caesar's Palace.  The southwestern food was so delicious with so much flavor!  Ever since we left, Chris has been talking about how badly he wants Bobby Flay's cookbook for our summer grilling.

So, here are a few pictures from the trip and, in case you're interested, I included links for the places we visited.  (The Cirque website has an awesome video trailer)

All dressed up for dinner.  Christian and Monique brought an awesome prosecco to enjoy in the room before we went downstairs.

This is the only picture of the 4 of us that turned out.  (In front of Nob Hill Tavern)

Always gotta get a picture in front of the flowers at Bellagio.  Their gardens were so pretty for Spring with TONS of tulips and poppies.

We spent about 6 hours at the pool one day.  It was so nice to have hot weather after the terrible winter we have had this year!
